Tyto was finally away from her. Finally away from Mina. He was Free! She had gone to torment a few strays near some cove. But here he was, in his own garden! He wondered if he could make any friends...

Convel walked though the gardens alone as usual. It was quiet and peaceful here, away from his humans and not watching his back for angry strays. He held his white head high and his matching white banner waved leisurely as he padded through the colorful plants. It was then that he caught the scent of another dog, higher class. As the husky came into view Convel dipped his head in greeting, "Hello stranger," he called in his deep voice with as much friendliness as he could muster. Which was pretty much.

Tyto nodded. "Hi," He said. He was trying his best to hide a huge scar4 on his side that he had gotten from Mina. "What's your name? Mines Tyto."

Convel smiled as he sat back on his haunches and answered. "Convel, it's Celtic for 'wolf warrior' or something. Pleased to meet you Tyto." The white dog had been given such a name for humans often mistook German Shepards for wolves late at night and although he didn't see how humans could make that mistake his humans named him for thus.

Tyto Nodded. "Tyto means Owl," He said cheerily. "So...Do you know my sister? Mina? She's a big black husky. And she's horrible...." He didn't know it brought up the evil dogs name. But he revealed his scar to Convel.

Convel shook his head, "No, never met her." It was then that he saw the husky's scar and his eyes widened in surprise, not at the fact that the other dog ha a scar but from the fact that the scar was apparently from his sister. "She did that to you? That's horrid." Even though he barely remembered much at all of his parents and brother and sisters he knew that such was not how one should behave to another of the the same bloodline. The thought alone made him shudder inwardly.

"She's brutal. she wants power. She wants to rule." tyto shook his head. "I don't know where she is, probably slaughgtering something. But I do know that this is my freedom time." He smirked. "Wanna go explore the town with me?"

Convel had to blink away all Tyto had said of his sister before responding. Such a wonder it was that a plenty docile dog as Tyto seemed to be shared blood with something as savage and brutal as Mina sounded. Figuring it best not to dwell on the subject he nodded instead. "Of course, lead the way.", he barked as he stood up. The white german shepherd was taller then most, even Tyto, but he never took his size for advantage. Unless, that was, his life depended on it as it sometimes did with the strays around here.

Tyto barked happily and trotted down a small dirt road. The birds whistled around him, the trees swayed in the breeze. It was a wonderful day, especially because Mina was not trying to convince him to go kill a couple of weak strays. This was the life!

Convel followed, his tail wagging in the serenity around him. He was also glad that he had made a friend in this Tyto, for the Shepard spent most of his time alone. After they walked for a bit he decided to start some casual conversation to pass the time. "So Tyto, I haven't seen you around these parts before now. Do you come from another place?", he asked in a friendly tone as they walked.

Tyto nodded. "I come from Siberia, a faraway land. It's icy, always cold, and no prey runs. A horrible place to live life like a Stray. Most Die hard. Mina and I were brought to Alaska, and then bought by some Maine locals. And here we are." he finished his story, staring at Convel. "Do you come from another place?"

Convel listened intently to Tyto's story, trying to imagine such a harsh life and then being ashamed slightly of how simple and easy his had been. At the question he shook his head, "Not really. My owners have lived here since they mated and they bought me as a pup from a local breeder. I've lived here as long as I can remember really." With that he shrugged and continued walking along the blissful path.
